How It Works
Build a family tree in minutes with a simple step-by-step workflow.
Start with one person
Open the tree maker and enter the first name. This can be you, a parent, or the oldest known ancestor.
Add close relatives
Use the relationship dropdown to add parents, partners, children, and siblings. Each new person appears as a card in the tree.
Fill profile details
Select any card to add dates, gender, and notes. These details help turn a chart into a useful family record.
Print or export
Print the layout, export JSON for backup, export CSV for spreadsheet review, or download a basic GEDCOM file.
Best practices
Keep names consistent, use approximate years when exact dates are unknown, and export a backup after every major editing session.
For a live public website, add user authentication, secure database storage, consent controls, and full privacy settings before collecting real family data online.
